Springfield's Favorite Family Arrives in Psyonix's Hit Game: Unfortunately Not the Vehicle You're Dreaming Of
We already knew that the iconic animated series was collaborating with Fortnite, but this isn't the sole place where enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the world of Springfield. The long-running series is also making its way to the popular soccer-driving hybrid, introducing an vehicle customization option that will also be usable in the Fortnite universe. That said, whether players will actually want to equip it is another question, as fans have their hearts set on just one Simpsons car everyone is eager to drive, and this new offering isn't that one.
The Dream Vehicle
Although most gamers would undoubtedly love to compete while driving Homer's custom creation—the notoriously impractical automobile Homer built himself in the 1991 episode "the one where he meets Herb"—that's not what players are receiving. Not even getting the Canyonero, the enormous truck featured in the tenth season. Instead, fans are getting the family's standard well-worn four-door, which they've been driving since 1989. Even though this particular car has seen better days, it stands as an recognizable element of the show. And for players who pay attention to Rocket League vehicle dimensions, the trusty sedan uses the identical collision model as the Dominus.

More Than Just a Car
But that's not the only cosmetic from the show arriving in Rocket League. The event will additionally feature a set of objectives to earn more rewards, all of which are Simpsons-themed. As detailed in a press release, the challenges will task players to "get as many centers and clears as there are The Simpsons seasons, gather boost canisters as if your navigation is set to The Simpsons’ house, and drive a distance worthy of picking up the perfect donuts!"
While the complete list of challenge rewards isn't yet revealed, here is what's been announced up to this point:
- Blinky topper
- Homer's Hedges player banner
- Waste wheels
- 20,000 experience points for each challenge
If the key art is any indication, it seems fans will also receive rims with a television showing the show's title sequence, Kang and Kodos topper, a sprinkled donut boost trail, and boost effects themed to smoldering rubber and Krusty Burger.
Launch Dates and Crossover Details
The Rocket League collaboration coincides with the major The Simpsons invasion of Fortnite, which brings a completely new map of the fictional town, as well as a 30-day Battle Pass. The Rocket League x The Simpsons event begins on November 1st and ends on Nov. 17.
